When a fellow photographer suddenly fell ill prior to this young lady's sweet 16 photo session, I knew that I had to help out. After pulling a few strings, I managed to rearrange my schedule to cover for my fellow photog who was deathly ill. Living almost two hours apart from each other, Alysia's mother, Michelle, and I, had agreed to meet about half-way in Old Sacramento by the rail yard. What a great location!
That Monday started very gloomy and dreary, as January can be in Northern California, and I was worried that the sky was going to be yucky and gray for our session. However, as the sun began to set, the sky poked through just enough to give us some beautiful texture and color to our evening sky. This girl was gorgeous, and with a little direction from me (and no complaining from her about the frigid temperatures), we made a fantastic team and pulled together an amazing Sweet 16 Session!
I loved working with Alysia, and meeting her mother, Michelle, and sister, Ayana, (who is next in line to be "shot with my Canon"), and I look forward to working with these gorgeous ladies in the future.
Watch out Vogue... I think you have a new cover girl! :)
