Brittany, Shane, & Brielle | Folsom Maternity & Newborn Photography | Summer 2015

If I could describe Brittany in one word, it would be glowing!
Her personality shines through every time I see her, so loving and always smiling. I always looked forward to visiting my one-stop-dog-shop, Sbarkles, to chat it up with this lovely lady behind the counter!
Watching her grow over the years, and turning into a caring mother is pretty amazing. This is because  I met Brittany's mother through my best friend many years ago. It really is an incredible feeling watching my clients grow through my lens!
When I found out that her and Shane were expecting their first child earlier this year, I was overjoyed because I knew what wonderful parents they would become.

Brittany and Shane welcomed a healthy, beautiful baby girl in June. You would never know from these photos that this cutie weighed in at 9 pounds, 14 ounces at birth!

Thank you Brittany, Shane, Brittany's mom, Kristen, and that adorable little cutie Brielle for letting me spend time with you guys and capture these adorable photos!

Everyone needs a really good friend!

Michelle and I met last summer at the restaurant we both work at. While talking within the first few days of meeting, we found out that we have a handful of mutual friends. From those mutual friends, Michelle and I grew a fairly close friendship fairly quickly. Recently, she was in the hospital with a bad case of Strep Throat, and I began to think about "friendships".

Michelle and I grew a friendship from the foundation of a mutual friend base, but friends come in many shapes and sizes. Every friendship is different. Every friendship is important. Some friends talk everyday. Some friends don't speak for months. Yet, they are still considered friends. Everyone goes through tough times, however, no one should go through a tough time alone.

I took this photo of Michelle under "Rainbow Bridge" at the American River, back in April of this year. Once Michelle fully recovers from her terrible case of Strep, I plan on taking more photos of her with extravagant makeup and costume changes.

Get "bedder" soon, Michelle! :)

Angela and Zoe - June 2011

Angela has been one of my best friends since I was about 13 years old. Now living in the Los Angeles area, Angela comes up north whenever she can, to visit. While in the Folsom area this past week, she asked if I could take some professional photos of Zoe, her daughter. With my camera by my side, Angela, Zoe, and I walked to the river by my house. After the shoot, we were walking back to our house, and Jeff took this photo of Angela, Zoe, and me along the bike trail. It was an over-exposed shot, but as Jeff said it best, "It was a moment that had to be captured quickly and without thinking about exposure." After he worked with it in Photoshop for a few minutes, I really liked the end result, and I had to share his beautiful work!
